REUSABLE RESOURCES ANIMAL SHELTER PROJECT
Week 1 Term 3
Last week in LAVA, we made an animal shelter out of reusable recycled material that the teachers have collected for use.
Some of our recycled material was -
- Wooden pallets
- Cardboard boxes
Bubble wrap
- Rubbish bags
And empty plastic bottles
First we had to design a shelter for a selected animal of our choice, then we had to book an appointment with the teachers as our building officers. They had to check our designs and make sure that they were a good environment and home for our animal to live in. When we had made our shelter we had to install a water source and food source. We had to make sure that our animal could use it.
We had the smallest creature in the class. Our group consisted of: Bayile,Stevie,Sophie,Alex,Hamish and Jake.
Next we cut the flaps of the cardboard and put the black rubbish bag on to the top, then we put four wooden pallets on each bottom corner so the structure would stand high up. Finally we added the slide on the side. After that we were finished.
